For other uses, see Kelvin.
For the primary universe counterpart, see USS Kelvin (NCC-0514)

In the Kelvin timeline mirror universe, the ISS Kelvin was a Terran Empire warship in service in the early 23rd century. (TOS - Mirrored comic: "Part 1")

History and specifications

In the year 2233, the Kelvin was a powerful Terran warship but no match for the weaponry of the Narada, a Romulan ship from the year 2387. The destruction of the Kelvin by Nero led to an alternate reality branching off from the mirror universe.

James T. Kirk and his mother survived the loss of the Kelvin. In 2258, Kirk brought a Terran strike squad to Rura Penthe where he found Nero and killed him in revenge for the death of his father aboard the Kelvin. With the access codes from Nero's crew, Kirk assumed control of the Narada and set off to Vulcan. (TOS - Mirrored comic: "Part 1")
