In the mirror universe, the ISS Trailblazer (NCC-97667) was a 25th century Terran Empire starship, initially a Pathfinder-class long-range science vessel and later the Trailblazer-class[1] prototype in Imperial Starfleet service in the 2410s decade. Service history and disposition[]

Trailblazer-97667

Trailblazer.

The Trailblazer was active in the 2410s. Lord Baron Vice Admiral S.J. Hemphill of the Advanced Starship Design Bureau (ASDB) issued a performance report about the Trailblazer and other recently refitted ships to Imperial Starfleet on stardate 88168.8 in the year 2411. Due to ionic interference, this subspace communique was corrupted and superimposed with its primary universe counterpart, allowing Starfleet Intelligence to learn about the ship appraisals therein.

Hemphill described the Trailblazer as a monstrosity, due to the arrays of phasers, sensor arrays and launch tubes grafted onto the hull of the formerly sleek Pathfinder-class starship. This design was the result of upgrades performed under the auspices of Commander Whetu. In a combat scenario, the Trailblazer would not be able to employ its vast collection of weapon arrays all at once. It was also equipped with a state-of-the-art sensor suite.

At one point, the Trailblazer was on maneuvers with three other newly upgraded starships, the ISS Pegasus, ISS Cabot and the ISS Bozeman.

Its counterpart in the primary universe was the similarly upgraded USS Trailblazer, whose stats were outlined in the Allied Cooperative Starship Development Board (ACSDB) report by Vice Admiral S.J. Hemphill of the Khitomer Alliance. (STO website: Reflections: Remastering 25th Century Starships)

The modifications on the Trailblazer in both universes created the Trailblazer-subclass variant of the Pathfinder-class long-range science vessel. (STO website: Reflections: Reflections on Star Trek Online)
