For the primary universe counterpart, see USS Valiant (NCC-1709).

In the mirror universe, the ISS Vengeance (NCC-1709) was a Terran starship, a Terran Empire Constitution-class heavy cruiser in Starfleet service in the 2260s decade. (ST - New Visions comic: "The Mirror, Cracked")

Six days after four members of the ISS Enterprise crew were temporarily transposed with their counterparts from the primary universe, Chief Engineer Montgomery Scott transferred from the Enterprise to the Vengeance. Unbeknownst to his former commanding officer, Captain Spock, Scott plotted with the deposed James T. Kirk to betray Spock. Spock retrieved Scott from the Vengeance and learned of the plot in a Vulcan mind meld. (ST - New Visions comic: "The Mirror, Cracked")
