Rigelian Kaylar[]

An illusory version of the Rigelian Kaylar that Christopher Pike bested in combat on Rigel VII in the year 2254 fought Pike two weeks later, on the planet Talos IV. The Talosians used the battle as a demonstration of their illusory prowess, and placed Vina in the role of Talza, the Rigelian girl who had been conspiring with the Kaylar to murder Pike's landing party. (TOS episode & New Visions comic adaptation: "The Cage", EV comic: "Nor Iron Bars a Cage")
