USS Voyager encounters the Indign cube ship.

The Indign were a collective of different species that were discovered by the Full Circle fleet in 2381 in the Delta Quadrant.

They have long ago learned of the Borg and started considering their collective as the ultimate way of living together. However, they were considered unworthy to be assimilated, which is why they started building Borg cube-like ships with beings to be assimilated on board. (VOY novel: Unworthy)

The collective consists of the following species:

  • The Neyser, a humanoid species (Borg-species 6649)
  • The Greech, a cytoplasmic species (Borg-species 433)
  • The Dulaph, a silicon-based species with sphere-shaped bodies (Borg-species 912)
  • The Irsk, a bio-mimetic species (Borg-species 1629)
  • a moth-like species, either the Imalak or the Neela (never encountered by the Borg)
  • a noncorporeal species, either the Imalak or the Neela (never encountered by the Borg)
