The Infarret were an ancient alien civilization from the planet 1616 Ophiuchi VI, their homeworld located somewhere in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants.
They were extinct far prior to the 24th century, perhaps due to solar radiation. They were extensively studied by archaeologist Saeo Uristilaen. (TNG novel: Intellivore)
