Ingraham B, also named Ingram B, was a planet located in or near Federation space. (TNG episode: "Conspiracy")
History and specifics[]
Ingraham B was the site of a Federation colony that was wiped out by blastoneuron neural parasites in 2265. Those parasites later made it off planet and went on to infect Deneva. (TOS episode & Star Trek 2 novelization: Operation -- Annihilate!; VAN novel: Summon the Thunder)
Several minor attempts were made to re-colonize Ingraham B following this incident. None, however, were successful, and by the mid 24th century, the planet was abandoned. However, the planet was selected by the Denevan government as a destination in the event of a planetwide emergency and evacuation. Following the destruction of Deneva during the Borg Invasion of 2381, several thousand survivors resettled on Ingraham B. (TNG novel: Losing the Peace)
