Inter-receptive network

A starship caught in an inter-receptive network.

An inter-receptive network is a type of technology which can be used to block out subspace communications. They are comparable to a simple positronic brain.

Such a network can be created by placing subspace beacons around a target, when precisely placed they will cause the sub-space signals to jump from beacon to beacon in an instantaneous loop rather than breaking through to the target. Such a network was created by the USS Enterprise-D} around a remote controlled vessel which had attacked the starship, blocked off from its subspace commands the vessel then self destructed. (TNG - The Space Between comic: "Strategy")
