The Interplanetary Wildlife Preserve was a wildlife preserve on Vulcan.

History and specifics[]

Among the animals that were protected there were Vulcan animals like aylakim, lanka-gars and shavokhs, as well as animals not native to Vulcan like the zabathu of Andor.

After the crew of the USS Defiant accidentally brought back tribbles from Deep Space Station K-7 and the USS Enterprise from 2268, these tribbles were moved to the wildlife preserve. Precautions were taken to avoid mass breeding of the tribbles through genetic engineering, although plans were made to restore their nature if a new planet was found that could sustain them.
