Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

The Ionite Nebula Region is an area of star systems covered by the massive Ionite Nebula, including Luria, homeworld of the Lurians. The Federation also suspects the Lethean homeworld of being located in this nebular region.

History and specifics[]

Since the region is not controlled by a central government, the nebula is often inhabited by criminals hiding with relative safety. The Federation has given aid to some of the local governments to try and solve this problem, but their efforts have thus far been met with little success. (Last Unicorn RPG module: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Core Game Book)

The Ionite Nebula is in close proximity to the Pergamum Nebula and the Acheron Formation. (DSC novel: The Enterprise War)

In the year 2372, Drex aggressively questioned Morn on why, on Starbase Deep Space 9, he was so far from the Ionite Nebula. (DS9 episode: "The Way of the Warrior")
