Isaakerr was a civilian technician at Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards in 2367. He was assigned to the construction team on the USS Melbourne under the command of Captain Thomas Halloway. He was working on the bridge viewscreen when Halloway received word that the Melbourne was needed to intercept the Borg at Wolf 359. Captain Halloway ordered all civilian personnel to leave, but Isaakerr demanded to finish connecting the screen so that they would be able to see where they were going. Just as he was leaving Halloway grabbed his arm and told him to find his family, tell them why he was doing this, and tell them that he loved them. (TNG short story: "Trust Yourself When All Men Doubt You")
