Isabelle Danur was a 20th century Human woman, the leader of a faction of psychokinetic Augments.

Biography[]

Based in Cambodia, Danur led a sect in the 1990s decade that was genetically engineered to oppose Khan Noonien Singh and other warlords during Earth's Eugenics Wars. She directed her people to use their telepathy and empathic abilities to trick other Augments, sowing the seeds of despair and failure that contributed to their demise.

After Khan was defeated, Earth's nations began bombing her headquarters. She was aware Khan would soon abandon the planet in a sleeper ship, and appealed to her followers that they similarly separate themselves from fearful humans and find a place where they could peacefully raise children. Within hours of Khan's launch aboard the SS Botany Bay, Danur and her followers fled aboard the DY-100 class Terrapin.

Early in the 23rd century, malfunctioning sleep chambers woke the crew in the Sicondor Sector. She led them to the class M planet Sicon III, but died of a brain aneurysm shortly thereafter.

Legacy[]

Her followers named themselves Danurians in her honor. Generations later, her coffin and recognizable portions of Terrapin remained as a shrine in a cavern outside Serenity Settlement near Mount Hope. Along with a ship's log, a book was kept on display that described Danur's battles against the aggressive Augments. (Last Unicorn RPG module: The Danurian Factor)
