Ishara Yar was a Human woman from Turkana IV in the 24th century, the sister of Natasha Yar.
Biography[]
Ishara was born in the year 2342. She was orphaned and then raised by her sister. By 2367 she had started to work as a fighter for Turkana IV's Coalition. (ST website : StarTrek.com)
When the actions of Trelane cause three alternate realities to collapse into each other, Worf convinced an alternate Tasha Yar to help him escape Enterprise crewmembers from a third timeline where the Federation was at war with the Klingons, by telling the alternate Tasha that Ishara regretted all the unhappiness between them, demonstrating a personal knowledge of her that convinced the alternate Tasha to trust him.
