The Isolationists were a faction of Soong-type androids from an alternate reality where Doctor Noonien Soong's vision of artificial life was realized.

They were a minority faction present on the planet Turing in the Romulan Neutral Zone and advocated the complete removal of androids from the galaxy by using the Iconian gateway to deliver them to a remote system elsewhere in the galaxy by thousands of light years away from any inhabited system. After this was accomplished, the Isolationists proposed that the gateway network be destroyed by timed explosives thus allowing the androids to live alone in peace. (TNG novel: Brave New World)
