The iy'Dewra'ni refugee camp was a site on the iy'Dewra'ni landmass on the planet Pacifica where close to 80,000 individuals who had evacuated their worlds during the Borg Invasion of 2381 were temporarily placed and sheltered.

The camp suffered numerous challenges from the start, primarily because officials in the Pacifican capital of hi'Leyi'a objected to having off-worlders so close to the breeding areas of so many young Selkies. There was also a shortage of replicators, a makeshift medical facility staffed by an outdated EMH Mark III, and a native waterborne contagion infecting many of the refugees. Lieutenant Commander Amsta-Iber, a science officer at Aronnax Station on Pacifica, was recruited to run the camp on Starfleet's behalf, a task the meteorologist was not up to.

Several days after the end of the invasion, Director Barash of the Federation Displaced Persons Agency recruited Doctor Beverly Crusher to lead a team to investigate the problems at the iy'Dewra'ni camp. The five-person team was able to effect some improvements, particularly after Crusher grounded their transport, the USS Genesee, and cannibalized it for equipment. However, it was not long before Crusher had to ask additional help from Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the USS Enterprise-E.

Picard brought with him Governor George Barrile of Alpha Centauri and President Gar Tiernan of Deneva, in order to impress upon them the dire situation which the Federation and Starfleet faced in the aftermath of the Borg crisis. Barrile was so moved by the conditions at iy'Dewra'ni, he made a live public address to his constituents explaining the situation, and asking they all dedicate themselves to helping the victims of the Invasion.

Later, the Enterprise and the USS Nansen began to evacuate those refugees they could from the camp, many to the new Denevan homeworld on Ingraham B. Commander Miranda Kadohata volunteered to remain and continue to work on improving conditions there. (TNG novel: Losing the Peace)
