For the primary universe counterpart, see Izar.

In the mirror universe, Izar was a planet of the Breen Confederacy in the Boötes constellation. Until the late 23rd century, the world belonged to the Terran Empire. (ST - Mirror Universe novel: The Sorrows of Empire)

History[]

During the Khitomer Conference in 2293, Terran Emperor Spock told Senator Pardek that the Tholian Assembly planned for the Breen to seize all Terran territory from Izar to Vega. (ST - Mirror Universe novel: The Sorrows of Empire)

In the 25th century, the Izarian system was under control of the reborn Terran Empire. In the 2410s decade, Imperial Starfleet operated the Top Secret Research Facility within a research asteroid in the planet's ring. In 2411, Admiral Kuumaarke and her ship, the ISS Reskava, operated from this base.

In that year, the planet's orbit became the site of several clashes between Imperial Starfleet and ships of the Khitomer Alliance from the primary universe, led by the USS Khonshu of Starfleet Intelligence. The Khonshu opened interdimensional portals between the two universes. The Terran forces pushed the Alliance forces back to their own universe. (STO - Terran Gambit mission: "Firewall")
