Izay was an individual known in the Goeg Domain for writing monographs about polyenzyme therapies.
In the year 2268, right after the USS Enterprise made first contact with members of the Goeg Domain, Christine Chapel read some of Izay's monographs and was impressed by them, much to the surprise of Doctor Deeshal, who was unaware of her extensive medical background despite being a nurse.
