J'mm T'las was a 22nd and 23rd century Andorian chan or thaan. He served in the Andorian Imperial Navy and was a participating founder of the United Federation of Planets.
Biography[]
In the 22nd century, T'las rose to the rank of captain in the Imperial Navy. After retiring, he became a merchant, eventually coming to lead a group of interstellar traders. In 2161, he was part of the Andorian delegation that founded the United Federation of Planets, principally known for making sure interstellar law respected traders' rights.
Later that century, his merchant group formalized as the UFP/Independent Traders Association. T'las became its first president, then later chairman of its board of directors. He negotiated the Andorian transport strike of reference stardate 0/9101 and founded what became the T'las Memorial Academy for Interstellar Merchants on reference stardate 1/1907.15.
