J. Fiona McKenzie was a Human female who served in the Military Assault Command Organization as an enlisted non-commissioned officer assigned to the starship Enterprise under the command of Earth Starfleet Captain Jonathan Archer in the 22nd century. She served on the vessel from the the Xindi crisis to the Earth-Romulan War, even served as detachment commander for a time.
Biography[edit | edit source]
During the early part of her career McKenzie reached the rank of corporal, she served a six week tour on Jupiter Station. While posted there, she learned to use gravity boots after the station's gravity plating failed several times.
In 2153, following the Xindi attack against Earth, as part of Major Joss Hayes's MACO detachment she was assigned to the Enterprise (NX-01) for its mission into the Delphic Expanse. (ENT episode: "Anomaly")
In early 2154, Major Hayes nominated McKenzie as his successor when he was mortally wounded in action aboard a Xindi-Reptilian warship, stating that "she knows the team," and that Archer should "rely on her." (ENT episode: "Countdown")
By 2155, McKenzie was promoted to the rank of sergeant. In February of that year, she was in charge of the MACO unit that comprised of herself and Corporals Hideaki Chang and David McCammon that landed on Rigel X with Captain Jonathan Archer and Shran, in search of information pertaining to the abducted Aenar. (ENT novel: The Good That Men Do)
By July, McKenzie had been promoted to Master sergeant. She along with Corporal Matthew Kelly accompanied Captain Archer aboard the ECS Kobayashi Maru to assess any possible dangers the ship or its crew might present. Later, McKenzie stood guard in sickbay over the only Klingon survivor of the Romulan controlled IKS Kaj'Deel as Captain Archer questioned the survivor as to why her vessel attacked Draylax.
Following the start of the Earth-Romulan War, she assisted Doctor Phlox in sickbay when he was nearly overwhelmed by the casualties from the Romulan attack on the Tarod IX outpost. (ENT novels: Kobayashi Maru (novel), Beneath the Raptor's Wing)
Altermate timelines[edit | edit source]
On the alternate Enterprise sent back into 2037 while traveling through an unstable subspace corridor, McKenzie and Travis Mayweather became a couple and later married. However, this timeline was negated with the help of the descendants of the temporally-displaced counterparts of the Enterprise crew. (ENT episode: "E²")
