Biography[]
A colonel in the Bajoran Militia, Jalas was the senior officer in Kendra Province. He was based at the Militia headquarters in Renassa.
In the year 2380, after Rebecca Sisko was kidnapped by Radovan Tavus, Colonel Jalas vowed to Kasidy Yates that he would get her daughter back safe and sound. Kasidy took comfort in his words and in his appearance; she likened him to a kindly grandfather. Jalas assigned Orisin Dever to head the investigation. (DS9 novel: Original Sin)
