James "Jim" Ogaleesha Davis was a male Human Starfleet officer in the late 22nd century, maternal grandfather and namesake of Starfleet Captain James T. Kirk.

Jim was among the newly commissioned officers at the United Federation of Planets' first graduating class of the newly restructured Starfleet Academy in 2166. He attended the commencement speech given by Admiral Rafael Douglas in September of 2166. (ST reference: Federation: The First 150 Years)

Jim had two children, a daughter named Winona and a son named Frank. (TOS movie: Star Trek)
