The Janad class was a gravity tank used by the Cardassian Union. They were equipped with spiral-wave disruptors, stun-field emitters and phaser turrets. They possessed a scarab-like hull.
In 2328, Jekko Tybe, Alynna Nechayev and Gwen Jones discovered a Janad class tank in the Cardassian's enclave in Korto City. Like the hundreds of others in the Cardassian enclaves on Bajor, it had been brought there secretly in pieces and assembled in preparation for the takeover of Bajor.
