Janalwa was the capital world of the Holy Order of the Kinshaya following the destruction of their original Homeworld sometime around the year 2380 by the Klingon Defense Force led by Klingon General Klag, son of M'Raq of the IKS Gorkon.

History

Janalwa is one of the oldest colony worlds of the Holy Order as well as the largest populated world within Kinshaya space following the destruction of the Kinshaya homewold. The age and population of Janalwa allowed it to maintain levels of independence of devotional mysticism and intense individual spirituality rather then the strict orthodox imposed on the Kinshaya homeworld and throughout its interstellar territory.

2382

In 2382, Niamlar Circle served as a staging ground for reformist protests that ended in massacres. The second time the Kinshayan Inquisitors, led by Grand Inquisitor Bishop Rasec and allies, the Breen led by Ghoc Reyd attempted to make an example of the Devotionalists. The second massacre however was broadcast live throughout the Holy Order. Thanks to Federation Starfleet Lieutenant T'Ryssa Chen of the USS Enterprise-E, the massacre was ended at the command of Vicar General Tepesor, who began to question the dogma of the Pontifex, leading to widespread critism of Pontifex Maxima Ykredna's regime both inside and outside of the the Kinshaya's allies in the Typhon Pact and the Khitomer Accords.

Lieutenants Jasminder Choudhury and T'Ryssa Chen traveled to Janalwa with the Romulan Unification movement to aid the Kinshayan Devotionalist Movement, led by Yeffir, that sought to end the heretical regime of Pontifex Maxima Ykredna. They did this in the hows of leading to a regime change that would lead the Holy Order of the Kinshaya down the path of the Moderates in the Typhon Pact, like the Gorn and the Romulans.

Rashtag and Niamlar Circle

The Capital City of Janalwa is the City of Rashtag, and its main circle is Niamlar Circle. Niamlar Circle is and will always be the geometric center of Rashtag, any new construction is planned carefully to maintain the purity of the circle, considered the holiest shape to the Kinshaya.

The eastern quadrant of the Niamlar Circle houses the Cathedral of State, a massive multidomed building that served as the base of operations for the Pontifex Maxima of the Holy Order of the Kinshaya and the Episcopate of the Holy Order.
