For the primary universe counterpart, see Janel Tigan.

In the mirror universe, Janel Tigan was a Trill male who lived during the 24th century. He was son of Yanas Tigan and the elder brother of Ezri Dax and Norvo Tigan.

He assisted his mother in operating the Tigan Mining Consortium (TMC), a pergium mining business in the Sappora star system. The TMC used its excavation technology to help more than three hundred Terran slaves escape from New Sydney and Sappora VII. In 2375, his younger brother Norvo informed the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance of their activities and their home was raided by New Sydney Security, led by Yeroff Fuchida, and the Klingon Defense Force. The Alliance News Network claimed that both Janel and Yanas were killed while resisting arrest and that the Alliance soldiers acted in their own defense. However, this was almost certainly a lie. Norvo was given a full pardon by the Alliance for turning in his mother and brother. (DS9 - Mirror Universe novel: Saturn's Children)

In another permutation of the mirror universe, after blackmailing Benjamin Sisko for sexual favors, he was killed by Sisko's family in 2369. (DS9 short story: "Freedom Angst")
