For other uses, see Janet.

Janet was a 23rd century Human woman. She served in Starfleet as a technician during the mid-2250s.

Biography[]

In the 2250s, Janet joined a classified project at the Filos IV research station on Filos IV under the command of Commander Knoxville. Her work involved experimentation on a portal transporter, a device in which wormholes were created by a warp reactor to provide alternative transporter technology.

In 2253, Janet helped demonstrate the mechanism for a landing party from the Federation starship USS Enterprise, pushing a cart through a portal so it could rematerialize at a target location outside the station. When a malfunction dragged Lieutenant Spock through a wormhole portal, she and an associate quickly figured out where Spock had been deposited on the planet.
