Janet Brooks was a Human female who served in Starfleet in the late 24th century.
Early life and career[]
The daughter of Herbert Brooks, Janet was born in the city of Birmingham, England, on Earth in 2340. She later went on to enter Starfleet Academy, and later graduated in the 93rd percentile in 2363.
Shortly after, Ensign Brooks was assigned to the USS Raman as a planetary geologist. One of her first missions aboard the Raman was a geological mission to survey asteroid bodies in the Oort cloud of the Sol system. Following the completion of this mission, Brooks decided to switch to the command division and train as a pilot. She finally obtained her third-level pilot certificate in 2365 and became flight controller aboard the Raman. (ST video game: Starship Creator)
Aboard the Enterprise[]
In 2366, Brooks transferred to the USS Enterprise-D and joined the team of flight controllers which were assigned. Over the next six months, Brooks' husband, Marc Brooks, died during unspecified circumstances. As a result, Brooks attended weekly counseling sessions with Counselor Deanna Troi before she began to come to terms with her husband's death. (ST video game: Starship Creator; TNG episode: "The Loss")
Brooks remained aboard the Enterprise-D until her destruction on Veridian III in 2371, and then transferred to the USS Enterprise-E following her launch in 2372. Brooks served during the Battle of Sector 001. (ST video game: Starship Creator)
