Janet MacReedy was a 23rd century Human woman from New New Aberdeen who served as chief engineer of the civilian cargo ship Alisa under the command of Captain Linn Yland.
Biography[]
MacReedy spoke with a thick Gaelic accent. Half of Alisa's shares were owned by her, Yland, first officer Krause, and cargomaster Fev Kinnda.
In the 2280s decade, Yland and Kinnda negotiated a profitable deal, but it meant traveling at the ship's maximum velocity of warp five for 42 days instead of at the ship's cruising speed of warp four. MacReedy and chief pilot Hhervv were concerned because the ship had skipped its scheduled maintenance overhaul, opening the possibility for trouble. She and Yland shared a drink of Saurian brandy and a game of chess after departing Wall. After arriving at their destination of Freeloader, MacReedy disembarked for a few days of shore leave.
