Project:Pages for administration/Janus IV native

Janus IV natives were a type of silicon-based lifeform that lived on Janus IV.

History[]

In 2267 or 2268, these lifeforms were discovered. The finding was described by Spock to have been a shocking revelation to the scientific community. The natives were researched by Professor Patrick Moore prior to the writing of his paper on the tojufu of M-317. (TOS comic: "Murder on the Enterprise")

Though not spelled out in the story, their existence confirmed that silicon-based life was not limited to the Horta on Janus VI.
