For the mirror universe counterpart, see Jasad (mirror).

Jasad was a Cardassian man who lived in the 24th century.

Biography[]

In the 2360s decade, he held the rank of gul in the Cardassian Guard and was a member of the Cardassian Seventh Order.

In the year 2369, Jasad led three Galor-class starships to Deep Space 9 to investigate the disappearance of Gul Dukat and his starship. He refused to believe Kira Nerys' claim it had entered a wormhole, believing the station had somehow destroyed Dukat's ship. The DS9 crew used thoron fields and duraniums to attempt to fool Jasad's starships into believing the station had thousands of photon torpedoes and integrated phaser banks. Although warned by Majut, Jasad wanted to attack before Starfleet reinforcements could arrive, no matter the cost.

Jasad later ordered his ships to attack Deep Space 9, inflicting severe damage on the station. Before Jasad could destroy the station, Dukat's ship came through the wormhole, towed by Benjamin Sisko aboard the USS Rio Grande. Jasad's starship and the other Cardassian ships left the area when the USS Enterprise-D arrived. (DS9 episode: "Emissary")

Alternate timelines[]

In an alternate timeline where the Cardassians did not leave Bajor in 2369, Jasad and his ship visited Terok Nor for repairs in 2373. Corat Damar had to delay repairs to Jasad's starship and focus attempts to get the antiproton scan sensors online. (Star Trek: Myriad Universes novel: A Gutted World)
