Jefferson was a small town on the planet Earth, located in central Iowa on the North American continent.

History and specifics[]

Starfleet maintained a shipyard located near the town of Jefferson. In 2256, after the USS Discovery successfully tested the spore drive, the schematics of the new drive were sent to the Jefferson Shipyards in order to enable the building of further units. (DSC episode: "Choose Your Pain")
