The Jem'Hadar heavy escort was a class of vessel that was operated by the Jem'Hadar in the early 25th century. By 2409, it was being starship used by both the Dominion and True Way alliance.
These vessels served as a lighter version of the Jem'Hadar battleship with it being faster and more maneuverable. Due to its higher turn rate, the heavy escort's main weapon system was more forward facing. As a result, a typical tactic employed against them was staying outside their forward firing arc. A Jem'Hadar heavy escort was considered a rough equivalent to a Federation Escort or a Klingon Raptor.[citation needed]
