The Jenkata Nebula extended beyond the borders of the Gavara sector into the Gaia, Klaxinoth and Kendari sectors. (STO - Gamma Quadrant mission: "Storm Clouds Gather")

The Teplan system and Obatta Cluster were situated in the nebula's general vicinity. (DS9 episode: "The Quickening")

Jenkata Nebula and Obatta Cluster, 2378.

In 2372, Major Kira Nerys directed her Danube-class runabout into the Jenkata Nebula to avoid detection by the Jem'Hadar. This led to first contact between the Federation and the Teplans when Kira and Doctor Julian Bashir landed their runabout on Teplan I. (DS9 episode: "The Quickening")
