The starship Joanna (CRN-1841) was an antiquated Federation transport assigned to the Frontier Medics Program.
Service history and disposition[]
Former USS Enterprise CMO Leonard McCoy and Doctor Jon Mikael Duncan used the ship to travel to non-aligned planets. In 2271, they provided medical assistance on the third moon of Omicron Testus IV, Ophiucus III, and Gamma Tarses VII, and were often accompanied by Theela. A missile destroyed Joanna shortly after it landed on Alpha Tau IV. Her crew survived and were rescued by the USS Yorktown. (TOS - Leonard McCoy, Frontier Doctor comic: "Medics")
- Joanna was named in honor of Joanna McCoy, Leonard McCoy's daughter.
