Johann Sebastian Bach (31 March 1685 – 28 July 1750) was a Human music composer in the 18th century. Spock considered Bach to be the most logical of human composers. (TOS novel: Vulcan's Forge)

Bach's works were among those Doctor Gillian Taylor used to communicate with Harpo, a cetacean member of her oceanographic study team on Pacifica. (TOS - Strange New Worlds II short story: "The Hero of My Own Life")
