John Costanza was an artist who provided the lettering art for many issues of Star Trek comics for Marvel Comics and DC Comics. Costanza began being credited with Marvel Super Special, Issue 15, which was Marvel's adaptation of Star Trek: The Motion Picture. As previous series for Gold Key Comics never credited lettering artists, Costanza is the first ever artist to receive on-page credit for lettering a comic issue of a Star Trek series.
This work was later reprinted as the first three issues of the Marvel's monthly Star Trek series, as well as in a trade paperback reprint and the Movie Omnibus reprint collection.
