John Ericcsen was a human Augment.

History[]

According to Khan Noonien Singh, Ericcsen was a product of genetic engineering who was the dictator of the government known as Pax Europa during the 1990s on Earth. He and his fellow augments then seized power in 1992. He then expanded his empire ruthlessly. However, in 1996, the Chinese infected him with a bio-weapon and he died of it. (TOS - Khan comics: "Issue 2", "Issue 3")

John Ericcsen was the name originally used in TOS episode: "Space Seed" for the character that became Khan Noonien Singh. The name was later used as the cover name established by Alexander Marcus in Star Trek Into Darkness before being dubbed over with John Harrison.
