John Fitzgerald Kennedy (May 29, 1917 – November 22, 1963) was a human who lived on Earth during the 20th century.

Born in Brookline, Massachusetts, Kennedy was an officer in the United States Navy during World War II, and would later become one of the most notable Presidents of the United States of America.

On May 25, 1961, Kennedy called for the people of the United States to dedicate itself to sending a human to their moon, Luna, and returning that human safely to Earth before the end of the decade, a challenge which was realized by the Apollo 11 mission, launched from Cape Kennedy, Florida in 1969.

Kennedy was good friends with Barry Goldwater, despite being in separate political parties. (DS9 novel: Cathedral)

Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963 in Dealey Plaza in the city of Dallas,Texas.

An image of President Kennedy was among the information included in the USS Enterprise computers in 2254 when scanned by the Talosians. (TOS episode: "The Cage")

By the mid 23rd century, the Federation Starfleet honored Kennedy by naming a Constitution-class starship after him. (TOS novel: The Wounded Sky)

The dedication plaque of the USS Valiant included Kennedy's quote "We set sail on this new sea because there is new knowledge to be gained and new fights to be won". (DS9 episode: "Valiant")

Vic Fontaine often mentioned Kennedy. Odo once described Shakaar Edon as "a leader, a hero, a man with great charisma", which Vic believed sounded like Kennedy. In 2376, Fontaine described the similarities between Quark and Ro Laren as being "as clear as where Goldwater stands on JFK". (DS9 episode: "His Way", DS9 novel: Cathedral)
