John Ford (February 1, 1894 – August 31, 1973) was a male Human movie director in the 20th century, noted for his iconic depictions of the "Old West".
James T. Kirk was familiar with Ford's films, and shared his appreciation of them with his friend, Spock. (TOS novel: Vulcan's Forge)
In 2375, Nog watched Ford's 1956 film The Searchers when he was living in Vic Fontaine's apartment in the holosuite. (DS9 episode: "It's Only a Paper Moon")
