John Foster was a 25th century Human individual, a member of the Federation's Starfleet in the 2400s decade.

Biography[]

In the year 2401, John Foster had the officer rank of lieutenant and was serving in gamma shift aboard Constitution III-class starship USS Titan-A under the command of Captain Liam Shaw. (PIC episode: "The Next Generation")

John Foster's quarters were searched by Seven of Nine during a security procedure where Acting Captain Riker enlisted her aid to covertly find a Changeling infiltrator. It was here that she found the corpse of Eli Foster, who had been killed and replaced. (PIC episode: "No Win Scenario")

Background[]

  • This character was not mentioned in dialogue, but was listed on the duty roster graphic installation set piece. The names listed were references placed there by the Star Trek: Picard season 3 production staff.
  • Foster was listed as being a lieutenant, but it is not certain whether this refers to a full lieutenant or a lieutenant junior grade, since both ranks are frequently properly referred to by the simpler name. For the purposes of this wiki, a full lieutenant's insignia is shown.
  • While the turbolift duty roster referred to Lieutenant John Foster, the placard on the crew quarters in "No Win Scenario" read "Ensign John Foster". It is possible this individual had received a promotion and not updated their door sign. It is also possible that there were two people named John Foster aboard, but this seems somewhat less likely.
