John Hammond was a male Human of African descent in the early 22nd century, who left Earth in 2123 aboard the SS Mariposa to colonize a planet in the Ficus sector. Tragically, the ship crash-landed, killing 289, and leaving Hammond as one of only five survivors. This small group then turned to cloning in order to propagate. Hammond became the Progenitor of numerous clones over the following decades, including future Mariposan Security Minister Kevin Hammond, and Alliance for Mariposan Primacy leader James Hammond.
