John Lee was a Human man in the Earth Starfleet during the mid-22nd century serving with the rank of chief petty officer and as deputy security chief aboard Enterprise (NX-01).

Biography[]

In early-2153, Enterprise was damaged by a gravitic mine and pulled through an anomaly into a parallel universe. Most of the crew was captured by a race called the Denari and brought to the prison satellite Rava One. Following taking the facility after about two weeks imprisoned, Lee had attempted interrogating captured Denari soldiers who only had shared little information such as who their commander was and that Sadir Lyatt the leader of the Denari had been assassinated. While aboard a captured Denari Stinger, Lee and Donna O'Neill were tasked with peering through the gunnery ports in case the sensors had missed something. (ENT novel: Daedalus's Children)

In January, 2155, Malcolm Reed thought to bring some MACOs or Chief Lee for security down to Procyron VII to protect Captain Jonathan Archer.

Following the supposed death of Captain Archer on Procyron VII, Lee was ordered by Admiral Robert McCormick to take Commander Charles Tucker III to the brig for refusing to follow orders in bringing Enterprise to Barcana VI. McCormick reconsidered his orders when Malcolm Reed explained that Captain Archer was alive and his captor, Maxim Sen, had made a deal with the Klingons. (ENT novel: Rosetta)
