John David Warner (1952 -) is a comic book author who wrote five issues of Gold Key's Star Trek: The Original Series comic.

He created two issues of Gold Key’s Flash Gordon with Star Trek artist Frank Bolle, and worked with Bolle and José Delbo on an issue of Twilight Zone. Star Trek author Tony Isabella followed Warner’s run on Marvel ComicsCaptain America. He, Arnold Drake and Gerry Boudreau wrote many issues of Dark Shadows.
