The Jolan Movement was a peace seeking group that existed within the Romulan Star Empire in the years when the thought of an all out war occurring between the Empire and the Federation was common.

This organization strived to find a more peaceful resolution to war. Its' peaceful leanings were unpopular sentiments among the ruling classes of Romulan society, and many of the Jolan Movement's members would be banished to Remus for harboring them. Despite this, it would exist for hundreds of years as a force in the shadows and among the Romulan people.

Some of the movement's members were also Remans.

The customary greeting made by Jolan Movement members is "Farr Jolan".

The group is led by the individual identified as the Jolara. (TOS novel: Captain's Blood)
