Judas Iscariot (Hebrew: יהודה איש־קריות‎, Yehuda, Yəhûḏāh ʾΚ-qrayyôṯ) was a first century human. Originally one of the 12 apostles Judas later became infamous as the man who had betrayed Jesus Christ to the local authorities, resulting in the death of Christ by crucifixion. Following the death of Christ the name Judas became synonymous with betrayal. (Historical Accounts)

In Borath's artificial simulation, Benjamin Sisko was worried that his name would become the Bajoran equivalent of Benedict Arnold or Judas Iscariot for promising them Bajor would not be handed to the Dominion, unaware that the Federation Council had agreed just to that.
