Juggernaut (ship)

In starship classification, juggernaut was a 25th century Khitomer Alliance designation for tactically-focused starships that shared capabilities with Alliance warships and destroyers. Like dreadnoughts, a juggernaut was large and durable but lacked features like a hangar bay for fighter craft and an experimental weapon emplacements. History and specifics[]

In the 2290s decade, Starfleet commissioned the USS Trafalgar (NCC-3000) as the prototype for the Trafalgar-class command juggernaut, an evolution of the 2260s-era Atlas-class prototype dreadnought cruiser. It was designed to compete with the Klingon D-9 class battlecruiser and replace the ageing Atlas class. In the year 2410, the Vaadwaur operated Vaadwaur juggernauts as dreadnoughts, like the VSW Implacable at the Battle of Korfez, during war of conquest between the Vaadwaur Supremacy and the other Delta Quadrant powers. (STO - Task Force Operation mission: "Battle of Korfez")
