K'Trelan was a Klingon male and a general in the Klingon military.
K'Trelan assassinated Emperor Reclaw and instituted democratic reform where a council was elected by the people. This period would later be known as the Dark Time, despite the numerous reforms it brought to the Klingon Empire. (DS9 episode: "You Are Cordially Invited")
After the assassination, K'Trelan installed himself as the new Emperor. One of his commands was to hunt down and kill Hal'korin and the qawHaq'hoch group. (VOY novel: Full Circle)
