K'lny was a planet located somewhere in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants, in or near the 23rd century borders of Federation space.

K'lny was the site of a mining colony in the 24th century. The USS da Vinci was assigned to a mission at K'lny in mid-2377, but was diverted from there by Captain Montgomery Scott to visit the planet Ardana. (CoE eBook: Signs from Heaven)
