Ka"hat is the location of a Klingon Defense Force outpost facility, Ka"hat outpost. Ka"hat is located in the general vicinity of Toman and Klingon Starbase 3. (ST reference: Star Trek Maps)
- Since the Star Trek Maps were made before ST reference: The Klingon Dictionary created the orthography of the tlhIngan Hol language and explained the meanings of the typeface representations used for transliteration, there is no known explanation for the meaning of the Klingon language use of a double apostrophe, as there is in the name of Ka"hat. For the purposes of this wiki, the spelling has been represented with a prime quotation mark resembling the doubled character. Most sources from the era of Star Trek Maps are thought to vary from tlhIngan Hol because the Klingonese dialect used was often referred to as klingonaase.
