Kalak was the commanding officer of the IKS Arekkieh.

History[]

Kalak was sent to Theata Leonis to make the USS Enterprise-A leave the system. He then went down to the surface to confront Capt. James T. Kirk and his landing party. They ran into Kirk's party and a computer program known as "The Creature". Kalak ordered her to surrender, but was scared off when she transformed herself into a terrifying female Klingon monster. After the creature made Kalak's and his men's weapons explode in their hands. Kalak and his men then returned to the Arekkieh and armed their weapons. However, the creature used a tractor to push Kalak's ship away at warp 9.4.(TOS comic: "Epic Proportions")
