Kalax was a male Klingon who served as military governor of the planet taD prior to 2372. In that year, following the Klingon Empire's invasion of the Cardassian Union, Kalax was overthrown in a coup d'etat by native al'Hmatti rebels. Disgraced, Kalax put himself to death. After taD was reconquered, Kalax was replaced by Tiral. (TNG novel: Diplomatic Implausibility)
